And what is Ravenwoman then? Sorry if I put too many questions together, but your dream stories are fascinating and it’s like reading a book in weekly installments!”
Sweetheart, I’ve been reading back through Boneyard related entries, both public and private, trying to understand just that!
Yea, Ravenwoman got knocked off her pedestal (and had help from what I’ve inferred). I had no other name for her when I first met her, and I have yet to see any other non-raven creature in the Boneyard (that wasn’t evicted soon after meeting), so I assumed that as the sentient humanoid, it was her realm. I had a post on my main blog about what I thought Ravenwoman was, at that time. I’ll have to revise it before linking to it. Short version: She’s a caretaker in the Boneyard. A guardian of it. And someone that has been there for so long, what she was before no longer exists. I think.
I’m learning that “sentient humanoid” doesn’t mean much in the Dreaming.
It’s definitely the ravens’ realm. And while I know the mere “what” of them, I don’t know the “why”, the “how”, how I was tangled up in this, or how much of the shit I’ve lived through was done intentionally to keep me from unfolding. (Of course, that last point may just be my paranoia talking.)
I’ve got to make a wiki-ish glossary of the major characters on my main blog. But every time I think I have folks placed in their proper relations to me, something happens and blows up all the connecting lines! (See: Roger and how he was revealed to be working against me.)
