Dream notes:

  • She has me! She has me! “Stop panicking, girl!” ~slap~ “Don’t you know who I am!” I know who you’re not! You’re NOT Ravenwoman! ~bitchslap~ Fuck gotta get out of here! But I can’t twist out of her grip! Wait. I know where she can’t follow…
  • ~jumps to Boneyard~ She still has me, and used me to bring her here. “Damn you, girl! Know your place!” Shut it, bitch, I know you’re not Ravenwoman! “If I’m not, then how am I still here?” She has a smug face. We are surrounded by hundreds of ravens. Ravenwoman: “Good question. I think that needs to be answered, don’t you?” Imposter: “Oh shit.” Imposter makes a run for it. The ravens set on her the moment the imposter releases me. Ravenwoman grabs me and drags me away from the carnage.
  • A short fit later, I find myself on an unlit bonepyre. Masked. Wait, I know this mask. Ravenwoman: “You better, it’s yours. If you needed proof that you are not me, now you have it.” Ugh, my head hurts. “Putting off summons will do that to you.” Who summoned me? “It doesn’t matter now. It’s been taken care of.” By who? “By you and not you.” Fuck riddles right now. Fuck them hard. Ravenwoman laughs.
  • Oh shit! The Imposter! “She has been dealt with.” Fuck. It’s my fault she came here. “She would have found a way with or without you. She caught you in a weak moment. Stop having weak moments.” Yes, Ma’am.
  • “Do you feel better?” Yea. “Then make yourself useful. Work with some bones. Light a fire.” Okay. Gathering bones. Making a fire. Recognizing something. Fuck. “This is your work. Don’t back out now.” Right. I can’t. This is part of what I am, part of what I do. “Heh, you can be taught.” Is there more I can do? “And still keep what little sanity you have left?” Nope, nothing I can do. Gotcha.
  • “Yea, there is something you can do. Take This Message to Crow. And take This Feather to the Old Man of the Mountain.” She hands me a small black feather. So, uh, you and… She glares evilly at me. Right. Message. Delivery. On my way.
  • ~jumps to Nine Worlds~ Cloak becomes wings and I soar towards the Old Man’s mountain range. Get to a certain point, then the wings become cloak and I become a falling object. Stormhoof appears under me and saves me. Lemme guess, his mountain is a No Flying Human zone. Stormhoof nods. Gotcha. Stormhoof delivers me to Old Man’s terrace.
  • To Old Man of the Mountain,
    I greet thee, ‘Good day’.
    A treasure I am bidden,
    to leave here today.
    ~produces feather, now 18” long~
    Ravenwoman’s feather
    was given to me,
    and by her command,
I now give it to thee.
  • I have no fucking clue where those words came from or why I said them as I did. Only that his eyes opened in surprise and wonder. He told me to leave it on the granite “table” beside me and to leave him. I did, and I did.
  • Stormhoof carried me away from the terrace. As soon as I left the Old Man’s area of influence, the cloak became wings again and I lifted off Stormhoof’s back. He changed form into a cloudy zephyr and played with me as I continued to fly away from the Nine Worlds. We left contrails in our wake, that reminded me of something I have to do in the Waking.
  • I woke up suddenly, without having given the message to Crow. And then I realized who she meant by Crow, and delivered the message after all.

And now, I am going to get another cup of coffee, and decide if I should have rum in it, or not.
