“Why are you crying?”

“I don’t know.”

“Happy tears?”

“Oh yes. Quite happy. Relieved, even.”

“So why the waterworks?”

“Because it’s over, and I have come through.”

“Come through … what?”

I don’t know. I don’t remember. Only that I was in pieces and each part of me was examined. And the sum of the whole was approved. I’ve come through, and now I can continue.”

“Well, that’s anti-climactic.”

“Quite.”

This is when we do the slow clap!

I don’t think it even warrants that. Should be like a footnote in the tome that is my fucked up history. “And after her awareness was split long enough for Keri to get used to it, during an issue in the Waking world that required as much attention as she could spare, the Night of Reckoning occurred. She was dismembered at the fire she waited beside, and various entities examined them thoroughly. While some quibbled about the scars on her diaphragm, and others tutted about the scar tissue in her brain, most agreed her physical health was not improved to the degree it could have. (But that was not her intent this year.) In regards to various emotional and psychological improvements, the inspecting entities agreed she made much advancements, but told her nothing more than “Well done”. She was reassembled, and allowed to sleep deeply at the fire. When she awoke at the fire, it was dawn. The Night of Reckoning was over. In true irony, the dawn’s light at the fire occured at midnight in her physical world.”

Anti-climactic as fuck.

All that build up for an anatomy lesson.

I had no expectations what was going to happen, and I still feel let down! ~laughter~ I didn’t even want to write anything, but I know a few of you did need want to know the ending, no matter how droll. So.

Coffee. I go get some now.
