I sent a message to the one that had contracted me to auction the hand, telling him the hand was stolen property, the rightful owner had requested it from me, and I had surrendered it to the rightful owner. Since the auction fell through I had collected no fees, so none was refunded.
I didn’t tell him who the rightful owner is. Some knowledge is best experienced personally. Makes me wonder if “Mr. Mugabwe” knew whose artifact that is, and if that’s why he refused to claim it when procedural decorum went to shit and he had won by default. To keep his hands clean of accusations of laundering, he had to win it in a fair and untainted auction.
