Dream Journal: 2013-09-12.01

I haven’t been able to find the missing chunk of her face. While I have the small version of her statue in my lair, I know I’m not doing the proper Kemetic honors for her. Snake will remind me when I’ve been away too long, and sometimes bring me incense and cakes to present to her, but he won’t do anything directly for her. He said I have to do this completely myself.

I don’t know where Bast led me off to that day. But I’ve noticed that since that day, the face of the statue is healing. The stone is slowly reforming. As of right now, she’s still missing most of an eye and half of her nose. But her mouth is whole.

It has a subtle smile to it.

I still have no clue what her name is/was. And just a hint of an idea of what I have to do when the statue is complete. All I know is she has no wish to haunt/return to the world of the living. She wants to pass on, but she needs to be whole before she tries.

If I can remember today, I’ll get up the gumption to ask some Kemetic folks what to do when her statue is healed and whole. Do I present her statue to a temple? I’m an outsider, are there taboos I have to keep in mind? There’s only one Kemetic temple that I know I can consistently travel to, but I’d rather not disturb the Destroying Eye of Ra, the Devourer of the Rebellious, glorious Sekhmet that guards her father’s temple, if I don’t have to. Cuz. Yea. No. The sands around the temple are still stained with the blood of the would-be raiders.

I just want this spirit to be settled at last.

Her smile is so subtle, and infectious. Like we share a secret but only she is conscious of it.
