I didn’t notice until after I wrote and posted the dream. I skipped “six”. I had a six in my hand, so what brain fart prompted me to search for a seven and use the joker instead?

Those cards from the dream seem awfully specific, don’t you think? Why would I remember those when it was just a game?

Meanings taken from “54 Devils”, the book I use as my (poker) playing card divination how-to.
- 3 of Spades: A battle. Setbacks & obstacles. Fighting through the hardest parts and surviving.
- 4 of Clubs: A horse & cart. A plowed field. Potential. (Nothing visually happening but busy behind the curtain.)
- 5 of Diamonds: Good luck, laughter. “The Last Laugh [for weal or woe]”
- 6, the cards about paths, were skipped because I am an idiot.
- 7 was substituted with a joker. So the cards about “inversion or trouble” was replaced with a mystery.
- 8 of Hearts: Flirtation, pillow talk. The coy play of an intimate relationship.
- 9s are about patience, ambition, and expansion.
- The last joker was the deck’s stop card. I read it as “No answers given”.
Now, having those meanings in mind, go over that conversation again. The shit I overlook will shank me one day.
