I closed my eyes for five hot seconds…
Super Saiyan Serious Keri is sitting at an overloaded table. Books, charts, and unintelligible notes overflow, mostly into her lap as she makes obscure connections between ideas based on spurious data. Every now and then, two pieces of apparently unconnected data connect, and she learns a little more about how much she doesn’t know.
~blink~
Spiraling Spinning Keri is moving in a rhythm that makes sense only to her. Rattles accent and footsteps whisper as she traces out a path that will trip any that try to follow her, but blazes brightly for those that know how to see. Every now and then, something rises from deep within her for her to bring to the surface.
~blink~
Dazed Keri is sitting at her table trying to process the simultaneous scenes. She hears a noise and sees an unnaturally large crow perched on the hutch of her computer desk. The crow tilts his head and she hears the bird’s consciously understandable communication.
“You know you’re both, right? You’re not trading one for the other when you trade the targets of your attention. You never stop being you when you sit down or when you stand up. So why are you pretending the divide exists? The two paradigms are not hostile to each other. You do you. All of you.”
~blink~
I opened my eyes to find nothing had physically happened. The dust on the hutch shows no trace of the crow. No rattles fall at my feet.
I think I have some shit to sort out.
